This unit is all about providing strategies to counter some problems teachers will eventually face in class. It is suggested to handle first lessons with special care and use them as an occasion to create a rapport with the students and learn more about them, their aspirations, their needs and their skills. Activities are also crucial in the warm-up phase, when the teacher should aim to get the students hyped, willing to learn and in the mood for English.

It is only normal that every student learns at a different speed and this problem can become greater with more pupils attending the class.
