There are often problems that arise while managing a classroom. The teacher can have behavioral issues with the students, or maybe an issue with maintaining the class's attention. The best way to avoid such problems is by establishing rapport both between the students and between the teacher and students. Fun, collaborative games and activities, especially as warm-ups, get the students engaged in the class and working together. Group work and collaboration can be especially useful for students who are reluctant to participate, because they can feel more comfortable to speak in a setting that is smaller and supportive. It is important to learn about the students needs, aspirations, interests, and English level right from the beginning of the course to be able to build the course in the most effective and stimulating way. In doing this, the teacher must also take into consideration the size of the class and if there is a large divide in the level of prior English language knowledge, and adjust to those factors accordingly.
