Unit 5: Managing Classes was insightful. When I taught English in Spain years ago, I had issues with classroom management. With this unit, I now know what I did wrong, and I know how to correct it for the next time I am in a classroom. It was interesting to read how even the classroom set-up can influence the mood of the classroom. I liked the pros and cons format of each section, especially in the section on the ways in which the teacher can group his or her students.This unit gave a lot of useful information about the conditional tenses in English and the use of reported speech. This unit was helpful for me because I had not seen the majority of the information about reported speech. The conditional tense is very flexible and can be used with the past, present, or future tense. It is important for the teacher to know all of the complicated uses of the conditional tense so that they can explain everything clearly to their students.
