This unit covers how to teach new vocabulary, grammar and functions to students. It shows the criteria to follow when selecting vocabulary for students which is very helpful. This unit also gives a guidelines on how to introduce new grammatical structures and how to teach language functions. I felt like these two parts could have been longer and more detailed though, as they are quite brief.
I liked, that this unit gives a lot of examples on how to apply the \"Engage-Study-Activate\" methods when introducing new language.Teaching 'tense' can be a very difficult concept for students to grasp when learning English as many languages only use one to three tenses. English, however, has many different tenses and in this course there are twelve different times in the English language for students to grasp. It is important for the teacher to have a sound knowledge of how and when to use 'tense' in order to deliver the subject material in a confident and easily understandable way. In doing so students will be less confused with the subject matter.
