This unit covered modal auxiliary verbs, passive voice, and phrasal verbs. Learning the different forms of phrasal verbs was especially useful for me, as I actually would have had no idea what a phrasal verb was had I been asked to give an example before this unit. Having a clear list and explanation of the differing degrees of politeness is also useful for being able to explain why a specific word choice is more polite or formal than a different word might be.This unit covers how to manage a class. Various aspects were presented that involve the role of the teacher and the role of students. The unit showed how different classroom arrangements, groupings of students, and levels of participation can be more effective depending on the activity. I appreciated how classroom management techniques can be employed to maintain order in the classroom and develop rapport between teacher and student as well as between students.
