Verbs are used to describe actions and can be categorised into transitive and intransitive verbs. Different verb forms will be used according to the tenses or the context of the sentence. Adverbs are used to describe verbs, and adverbs of degree can modify an adjective or another adverb. Gerunds are made by adding ...ing to a verb and then used as a noun.
