This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In this unit I learned more about the phonetic script and how to decipher it. I also got to know about the reasons people pronounce words many different ways and I also learned about the voice organs that make humans able to produce a variety of sounds and how each organ affects how you pronounce a certain word a certain way. It really made me learn the ways the mouth and different parts of your body affect your learning experience and why certain letters are voiceless in a word when you say that word. This grammar is a lot more intensive than what I have had to teach so far. It is complex but I think that it could be broken down quite easily. The modal verbs are a lot more simple than the passive vs. active voice concept. There is a common misunderstanding with students between voices. It is important especially with formal writing so that they don't waste word count and make more opportunities to make mistakes. I have seen more students make mistakes using the passive voice rather than the active.
