I found this unit to be the most beneficial yet with the exception of teaching methods and the ESA model. I like how it covered vocabulary, grammatical structures, and language functions and provided a typical ESA lesson for each. For example, a typical ESA function lesson could very well use a boomerang type lesson in the path of engage, activate, study, activate. A typical ESA grammar lesson could use a patchwork type lesson plan in the path of engage, activate, study, activate, study, activate. As always I find the activity suggestions in the activate stage provide great ideas.This unit specifically analyzed the present tenses family. I learnt about their four main forms (present simple, continuous, perfect and perfect continuous) and, for each one of them, a detailed explanation on their uses and rules followed. I really liked this unit because I found it focused, sharp and straight to the point. After finishing the video lesson, I believe I found myself with the concepts very clear in mind and hopefully I did good with this test. In addition, I learnt how to best activate these concepts in my future lessons, thanks to the activities examples provided.
