There are two types of materials: authentic materials and created materials. This unit shows how to use these materials with course books to produce an effective lesson plan. The advantages and disadvantages of course book are introduced in the unit so that teachers know how to best use of course books. I have learnt how to analyze a course book and how to use four different options such as omit, replace, supplement, and adapt for course book use.There are many methods of teaching English. In a lesson it is best to 'Engage' the students, then encourage them to 'Study' and learn more in depth about the specific topic/language form. Ending a class in an 'Activated' way, in which students are encouraged to use any or all the language they know.
Give feedback when needed to encourage self-awareness and improvement. Always be on the look for positive points in evaluation, feedback and correction.
