Productive skills are made up of writing and speaking. Accuracy and fluency are very important parts of speaking. Accuracy deals with correct production of language whereas fluency deals creativity with language. Both however, are equally important. Many students are reluctant to speak and should be encouraged to do so by creating a comfortable atmosphere where they would not be afraid to make mistakes but enjoy speaking to both classmates and teacherThis lesson was on the different groups of people that we may end up teaching at some point. The groups mentioned varied based on their knowledge of English (i.e. beginner, their age (young learner or child), the purpose of their learning (ie business purpose), and also the cultural/linguistic make up of the class (monolingual vs multi lingual). Guidance for how to teach these different groups and things to focus on were given throughout the lesson.
