The system and structure of past tense is not to different from the present tenses, except that it is obviously relate to the past. I started seeing a certain pattern in the structures of the different tenses... They all have a certain Form ( Formula) eg. : it can either be a Affirmative , Negative, or Question form.
The usage in each section made it very clear how to use it with great examples. I'm very grateful for the (common mistakes and errors) bit in each section this helps me be aware of what to look out for.Unit 6 covered the Past Tenses including; past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous. The forms of the past tenses are very similar to the present tenses. I learned that the past simple is used when actions are completed at a definite time, the past continuous when actions are in progress at a time in the past, the past perfect when we talk about a past action which happened in the past and that the past perfect continuous is a continuing action in the past up until an action in the past.
