This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit four focuses on the understanding of the present tenses of English. The many tenses (12) found in the English language can be very confusing for new learners, since many other languages that have only three or less tenses. The teacher's understanding of the form, usages, and student errors are essential to teaching. This unit also stresses the importance of activating student understanding of the four present tenses: simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous, during the activate stage of the lesson. From this unit I have learnt of there are many categories of beginners: the absolute beginner, the false beginner, the adult beginner, the young beginner and the beginner without Roman alphabet. Also, I have learnt the techniques for teaching beginners, children and business people. For example, when we teach business people, we should find out what the students want and what they need. We can give the students a \"needs analysis\", this will help us to get to know the students' details and past learning experience.
