This unit was much more hands on than the other units because it involved in planning a lesson. Planning a lesson is important to teacher because it will ensure that things flow smoothly, make sure that you keep on target, and keeps a record of what has been previously taught. The lesson plan should not be expected to be followed exactly the way it is written, and it should be inflexible. Though following the plan will help keeps things stay on track and to think logically, sometimes a problem may arise that must be added into the plan. There may need to be additional activities that need to be added to help dissolve and issues that may arise that were not planned. The lesson plan should reflect the ability that the students have and take into consideration of class size, such as you can't expect to do a 5 minute individual presentation for 20 students without losing student interest.
This unit was very helpful into better understanding an effective manner into planning out the lesson to efficiently teach the English language.
