The unit focused on how words are suppose to be pronounced using the various parts of the mouth correctly. Also, it threw more light on how articulation or stress words and the part that needs to be stressed on. The next part was how we should use intonation to carefully send the right message to audience other than allowing them to guess the meaning and how to ask questions as well. What i learned here in this chapter is how i was able to read the phonetic script i believe it will help me to get my pronunciation right, when i am finding the right pronunciation from the dictionary.Unit 13 Teaching pronunciation and phonology gives us knowlegde and information about science of pronunciaton and phonology and why it is important to study. In the unit we can find detailed description of terms such stress,articulation and information about phonetic alphabet and how we can use it while teaching process. Except this we can find detailed information about speech organs and ways of articulation.It is also important to know ways how to teach students and how to correct pronunciation mistakes, because pronunciation is one of the most difficult part of learning English.
