With the english language grammar tenses can be one of the most challenging things to teach given all the rules. I am glad I had a lesson and learned all about the future tense which gives me more confidence to teach it. Many times as a native speaker it is easy to just say \"that is just the way it is\" and not have an explanation as to why we speak in the future the way we speak and with this module I now am equipped to explain how to use the future tense.Probably what was most helpful in this unit (besides the obvious refresher course in tenses) was not only considering the typical mistakes students of foreign languages are likely to make, but dissecting tenses and their uses enough to be able to explain the mistake clearly and have them make adjustments. It was also interesting to note that the English language has far more tenses than many other languages. The Activate stage lesson ideas were also helpful.
