This unit was in the same format as the present and past tense units with the addition of 3 exceptions. The first 4 tenses covered followed the same paradigm as present and past in that the four aspects are repeated for the future as well. The future simple is formed with the auxiliary verb \"will\" + base form verb. The future continuous is formed with the auxiliary verb \"will\" + \"be\" + verb\"ing\". The future perfect is formed with the auxiliary verb \"will\" + \"have\" + past participle. The future perfect continuous is formed with the auxiliary verb \"will\" + \"have been\" + verb\"ing\".
These 4 aspect of the future tense were predictable, but an additional 3 future tense were covered. The first was the \"to going\" tense which is formed as: verb to be + \"going to\" + verb. This tense is not to be mistaken with the present continuous tense which isn't followed by a verb. The present simple and present continuous tenses are also used to express future tenses, typically when accompanied by a time frame or adverb of time.
