The two productive language skills are speaking and writing. Both are equally important, but writing often gets less attention in the classroom. An important consideration when planning a lesson on speaking or writing is to make sure the students are motivated. Motivation comes from students having interest in a topic, or having a purpose for communicating. Without motivation, it will be difficult for students to learn and to participate in the lesson. In Lesson 1 the teacher should have approached the class with a better attitude. He wasn't too keen on given the lesson and that made the students feel that they are not learning anything in the lesson. Some of the students looked a bit tired and not interested.
In Lesson 2 both the teacher and the students were keen on learning and teaching. There was alot of participation from the students side because the teacher made the lesson fun and interesting.
