This unit is about pronunciation and phonology. Intonation carries message in a sentence, it uses different pattern to express emotions or feelings, also important in questioning, agreeing, disagreeing or confirming statements. Stress is the principal emphasis in the sentence to know was the speaker was trying to say or imply. Also the physical location of a phoneme?s production is connected to a different organ or area. The teacher should decide when to include pronunciation work into their lessons.This unit was a review the form and usages of the present tenses--present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. Non-progressive verbs was a new concept to me in that they are usually used in the simple form, not the continuous form. These are verbs of senses (hear), feeling and emotions (love), mental activity (think), or possession (own). ex: \"I mean what I say.\" We probably would not say, \"I am meaning what I say.\" but use the statement \"I mean what I say.\"
