Unit 4 covers Present tenses. This unit gives us a great breakdown of each the the present tenses by first explaining proper form the respective tense. It then continues by offer examples of the types of sentences it can be used for. After we are familiarized with use of the tense it explains common mistakes that learners may face. We are then taught a few teaching ideas for practicing each tense. I think that all of this has made for a great refresher of present tenses and has also given me some great ideas to use in teaching.This unit narrowed down the important things to keep in mind when looking for and using appropriate materials that can be used in the classroom, whether it be authentic or personally created. It was useful as it helped focus on the important areas of course materials and how to apply them appropriately, knowing the advantages and disadvantages of using each individual material. The unit also related back to the previous unit, challenging me to use the correct steps to carry out the lesson according to a specific teaching style.
