I found this lesson particularly interesting. The variety of methodologies and ways they can be used is varied and will provide an excellent basis for designing a lesson plan. The methods that interested me the most was the ESA, PPP, and Community Language Learning. I think with a combination of these methods powerful and engaging lesson plans could be devised. I was also glad to see the correction section as I was curious on how that would be handled in the classroom. My personal beliefs reflected the material in that I think self-corrected work is usually the ideal method.This unit covered the productive skills, speaking and writing, which are important to the teaching of a new language. It requires constant practice on the part of the students to master speaking and writing, but the teachers play an integral role in giving the lesson so that the student wants to continue practicing speaking and writing. As someone who focused on creative writing, I was happy to see creative writing playing a major role in getting students to enjoy writing and would employ activities that allowed students to explore creative writing as a way to learn English.
