Today I learned about the importance of methodologies in the classroom. Depending on the level of the students I will have, PPP seems to be my favorite way. The reasoning behind it is because it has been a widely used method for beginner students and an easy introduction for beginner teachers. ESA is also extremely important because it covers all aspects of learning for a student. Boomerang method is my favorite because there are two activities to keep the students engaged throughout the lesson with a study in-between.This unit focused on how to teach vocabulary, grammar and function of new language introduced to students. I learned about the different parts of putting together a lesson for each of the three topics covered. It seems to me that being able to build on what students already know is a good way to approach this aspect of teaching English. If they already generally understand a certain type of vocabulary or grammar point, new vocabulary or grammar which builds on their base knowledge will make the learning process easier.
