This unit presented two demo class with the same lesson, teacher and students but different technique or approach use. It had shown two ways of delivering a lesson. I learned that the attitude of the teacher is very vital in the success of the lesson. Further, i saw how helpful pictures and gestures can be in the teaching process. Most importantly, I pity the students in the first demo because they seem lost, confused and scared and I don't want my students to feel that way.This lesson is so true when it comes to reading and listening. I speak a little Spanish, but I know a lot of the vocabulary in the language. If spoken slow or when written, I am able to use my vocabulary knowledge to piece together (or make contextual sense) or what is trying to be conveyed. Same is true when teaching someone another language. Lay the framework, using the vocabulary they know, and teach the rules and contextually to give the sentences or concept meaning.
