this unit 19 talked about teaching methods or advice for teaching different groups. What is the best way to teach beginners, how to separate them into groups based on their knowledge of English. Also talked about teaching individual students, what works better, what to avoid. In general the do`s and Dont's that can help a teacher be better. Business English is also mentioned in this unit but not that complete. The unit was interesting but I still am confused as to where to START. I feel I need a Step by Step process to begin teaching.Testing and evaluation are used to measure/assess how much knowledge the students have acquired before, during or after the course. Tutorials, evaluation by students and tests are tools used to assess the students? progress. Different tests are also given at different stages during the course to monitor the student progress. Before starting the course learners are given placement test which is used to grade students according to their language levels. Students can also take the external tests to measure their proficiency in English.
