This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit explains the various types of the present tense. Some linguists argue that only two types of tenses exist, that is the present and the past. But in this course, there are twelve tenses to be studied as Teachers of English as a Foreign Language. Moreover, English teachers should note that there are three different times in English: the past, the present, and the future. Each of these times has four aspects: simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous. Thus, this unit focuses on the following present tenses: present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. In this TEFL course, the following aspects must be taken into consideration on units that cover tenses and grammar points: form, usages, typical student errors and activate stage teaching idea.
Since the tense system poses a problem to both teachers and learners of English language, this unit will help me to be very rigorous when teaching lessons on tenses. I will equally transmit my knowledge on these tenses to my learners.
