This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit talked about different equipment and teaching aids. All the information in this unit will be super helpful for me. I love that there are so many different sites listed for different things (teaching, learning, resources, etc...). I need to take time to go through them more thoroughly and see which ones will be most helpful for me. I was familiar with a lot of the things in this lesson because many of my professors used a lot of them. Thinking about them again now, I'm starting to understand the advantages and disadvantages of each of them. My mom is a teacher and she has a IWB in her classroom. She uses it more than many of the other teachers in the school, but I know she doesn't use it to it's full potential. It will be interesting to see if the future classroom I work in has a IWB. If it does, I will need to make sure I'm more familiar with it before using in class. I know that there are a lot of great things you can do with it if you know how it works. However, in my opinion, a plain old whiteboard is pretty effective too.
