This unit goes over the several different types of classes that one could teach. The unit differentiates between different types of beginners including the different needs for a youth beginner and an adult. Also, it covers business students which can come in a wide range of ages and prior English knowledge. There is all a difference between a class that is multilingual versus a monolingual class. I learned that no matter what class I end up teaching, I need to alter myself to the needs of my students and be flexible.In this unit I was able to understand the importance of the productive skills. Which in my personal opinion are the hardest ones for the students; because they can understand a listening or reading activity perfectly, but when it's their time to explain orally or written it's when they begin to doubt and lose confidence in themselves. So, we need to encourage them to practice and make them feel comfortable, taking into consideration the accuracy and fluency to plan the activities we will follow throughout the lesson.
