The selection of a coursebook is one of the most important decisions a teacher will
make in shaping the content and nature of teaching and learning. It involves matching the
material against the context in which it is going to be used, following the aims of the
teaching program, as well as fitting the personal methodology of the teacher. Making the best use of the course book by creating a balanced lesson. Adding materials to develop students understanding on how to use the language.This unit was easier to follow and understand after completing the Present Tense chapter. The format of the lesson was predictable and I found it easier to understand the important concepts the teacher trying to impart.
I learned some basic sentence structure concepts that I have always taken for granted. These concepts are important for ESL students is they want to sound educated. I appreciated the picture cards examples used as teaching aids as I will probably make great use of them.
