I the unit teaching special groups we learn about teaching: beginners, individual students, children and business English or English for specific purposes we learn the different steps we need to take when teaching, planning all of the above mentioned groups. To just name a few things here when teaching individual students we have some methods that we can use to our advantage like one to one lessons that can be less formal and the teacher can be the partner of the student. When we learn about teaching children we learn about teaching with: singing words, patient repetition, positive encouragement and frequent praise and how it is essential to keep it fun and exciting with frequent changes of activities the teachers role is important in that aspect. Business English teaching can take place: as one to one, in-company group or in a school group. Before you begin teaching you have to find out what your clients/students need and want, do a needs analysis and use a pre-course assessment to plan a program keeping if flexible to your students needs.
