Modal Auxullary verbs are used before the other verbs to add meaning to the main verb. There are 9 main auxiliary verbs (can/ could/may/might/shall/should/will/would/must/). Modal auxiliary verbs do not change in form according to person. Two voices are used in English, the active voice and the passive voice. The active voice forces on the object and the agent, whereas with the passive voice the object of the active verb now is the subject of the passive verb. Passive voice is most used when you don't want to say who it is, or when it is unknown, or not important. Relative clauses are either defining which means it is essential to the meaning of the sentence or non-defining meaning it is not essential to the meaning of the sentence. And finally, Phrasal verbs. There are 3 types: 1 Intransive and can't be followed by a direct object. 2. Transitive separable which states that an object pronoun can only be used between the verb and the particle. 3.Transitive inseparable where both the object phrase or object pronoun come after the particle.
