Conditionals and reported speeches are discussed in this chapter. 5 different types of Conditional speeches such as (1)Zero Conditional (2) First Conditional (3) Second conditional (4)Third Conditional (5) Mixed Conditional are discussed in details with their structure, usage along with appropriate examples and teaching ideas . Reported speech is explained as to how it changes from direct speech to reported speech, how there is change in form, time changes , pronoun ,and tense change.This unit was particularly helpful to see the different successful approaches used in materials that could very well be used in a classroom setting to help with the delivering of the coursework and/or lesson plan. I think as new teachers, some of us may feel more confident using course books versus authentic materials in the beginning, then working our way to resorting more to authentic materials once we have gained confidence and exposure to the needs and development of our students.
