Various types of tests can be conducted internally (within a language school) to assess students throughout the course or to help them taking an external exam, such as the TOEFL, the IELTS or any other Cambridge assessment.As I progress in this course, it becomes more apparent how natural speaking a first language is. You never have to consider what context you need to speak in, you just speak. Because I have been teaching myself spanish, I can really empathise with non-native speakers, and how dicficult it is to remember which tense to use and when to use it. It is difficult to wrap your head around all the different tenses that exist, because in your native language you do not contiously think about it while speaking, you just speak.
