Unit 20 highlights the possible solutions to problems teachers may face dealing with their first class, large classes, different-level or multilingual classes, reluctant students or students with listening problems. The most useful part for me was a list of activities and techniques I can use during my first lesson. Establishing rapport may go not so smooth as expected, that is why I should be ready with games that will help to relax students and avoid other possible problems.This unit goes into detail about lesson plans. It gives a general overview on how to develop a lesson plan. It describes what type of planning you should do given the context of the classroom. It also stresses the importance of flexibility in a lesson plan. For me it was pretty confusing differentiating between engage and activate activities. I feel that there is some overlap and interchangeability, but these multiple choice questions are quite rigid in what they are asking...
