This unit focused on class planning. I learned about the how to class plan and the benefits of class planning. The unit also discussed reason that teachers need to be flexible with their plans to ensure students are engaged and learning. If something is working well, we may spend a bit more time on it, but if it is not, then we should change it up! Planning also provides us tangible material where we can record our goals and see what progress we have or have not made.This unit went over several more important elements of grammatical structure that help students be able to more effectively convey nuances through speech and writing. Modal auxiliary verbs are especially useful in adjusting the degree of intensity or certainty a speaker wants to express. Phrasal verbs are also excellent additions to a student's language arsenal; providing them the opportunity to express a variety of phrases more common among native English speakers.
