This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit covered the future tenses and their meanings. The information provided explanations of how each tense is formed and examples of their usages. It also provided contrasting examples between tenses that are similar and could easily be confused by the student, for example the going to future and the future simple. I learned that it can be difficult to explain the subtleties of differences between two tenses that could express similar ideas, as in the case of future simple and future perfect. I also appreciated the suggestion that the going to future and future simple could be taught together to show students the differences. I think this idea of teaching a couple tenses at the same time will be valuable to help the student develop context in which to use the correct tense.
