In this lesson I learned teaching methods such as Grammar-Translation, Presentation, Practice and Production and Task-based learning among others. I also learned that the Engage-Study-Activate(ESA) Methodology is most effective for new teachers of English. I also learned the different activities that can be used in each stage of this methodology. The difference between a mistake and an error was also taught and the three(3)occasions when it is relevant to correct. These occasions are: If the mistake is with the language point we are teaching, when the mistake is being repeated constantly and if the mistake seriously impedes understanding.
