This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
When we teach a new language, there are four things we?d like students to do; be exposed to it, understand its meaning, understand how it?s constructed and be able to practise and produce it. Some lessons we?d like to include new grammar, vocabulary and functions. Sometimes we may focus on just one area. Wherever the lessons are focus on, we want our lessons to be presented effectively. ESA methods are easily to be used to introduce new language. Teaching vocabulary, we?d like to use the ?straight arrow? ESA approach, whereas grammatical structure lessons commonly use the ?straight arrow? approach, but for mid level students, the patchwork ESA method could be used. In terms of the language functions which stress the need for activation of language, is used with the boomerang and patchwork type ESA lessons.
