The content of this unit helped to identify useful methods and techinques needed to manage a classroom setting. This includes everything from how to utilize ones' voice, gestures, and eye contact in order to guide the students and maintain discipline without being overly dominant. This unit also discussed the positive and negative aspects of the various ways in which students may be organized (either into different sized groupings or table layouts). The way students may be organized depends on a variety of factors. Additionally, this unit covered ways to maintain discipline in the classroom and how to manage problem behavior.
