This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit detailed many of the different equipment and teaching aids that can be used in a TEFL classroom. The unit described lots of very different things from chalk/white boards, OHP's and cassette players to more modern alternatives like smart boards, CD players and computers. There are advantages and disadvantages to all these methods and it seems to me that much like with the course materials and methods discussed in earlier units you need to vary your approach in order to make lessons engaging and fun. If you only ever use a computer and never any real objects or only ever give students worksheets instead of mixing it up with the use of smart phone video for example students could become bored.
