Teaching aids are very important and need to be chosen well. They depend on the course and the environment. If you teach at a school the teaching room might alredy have all the teaching aids you need or even more. But still you need to be well prepared. Even if working with a white board might make life easier but it also requires the teacher to prepare the materials electronically. Therefore hemightnot need any word or picture cards. The risk is that lessons can easily get boring and predoctable if teachers omly use the same material. Even if you have the chance to work with an IWB don't forget to use other teaching aids as well to keep the lesson lively.
