In this unit, I learned about books and materials. I learned the difference between using authentic materials and using textbooks. When a teacher uses authentic materials the learning process becomes more fun for the students and they can learn easier. It also helps the teacher to get involved. However, using textbooks is also good because it is a tried and tested syllabus proven effective of teaching. The benefits of using a book is that you can take out some lessons that are irrelevant for the students and add your material to the book. I also saw different examples of created materials that you can make for students which helped me a lot.
