I found this unit helpful in the fact that in the sample test on page 4 and 5 it provides space for the student to define their outcome for the course. This is extremely helpful in lesson planning and in evaluating. This gives the teachers a guideline for which evaluations they will use. For example, the teacher would not give a practice exam for students that are not taking the class to pass a particular test. This would be true in the case of business professionals taking English courses with their companies. In this case the teacher would give progress tests to the students and supply the results to the employer as proof of progress and improvement.
