This unit covers the use of conditionals, and direct and reported speech. The unit teaches us how complicated conditionals are, but breaks them down into 5 main conditionals, and explains the formula of each. The unit also explains how students can find this subject confusing,and offers several teaching examples. I have learnt how to break down the conditional tense, and also revised the change in grammar from direct to reported speech (backshiftng) noting the potential for student mistakes with changes to pronouns, verb tenses, time expressions etc., and have learnt to take the teaching of this subject slowly.
