Teaching English as foreign language (EFL) is a rewarding career, yet a challenging one. Unit 20 outlines the most common problems in EFL classrooms and how to deal with them: such as what to do and cover on the first day of class, ideas for starting lessons, how to teach large, mixed-ability classes, how to deal with reluctant students etc. Unit 20 covers a wide variety of teaching strategies, which are useful in not only establishing a pleasant and productive learning environment for students, also helps me understand more about the process of learning English from a student's perspective.
