Course materials are an aspect of teaching that is not often talked about. It is important to make sure that your course materials are age and grade level appropriate, and to incorporate a mix of authentic, created, and course book materials so that students are engaged in what they are learning. It takes a lot of work to create your own materials, but in a lot of cases they are the best way to teach as they can be customized to the interests, level, and teaching goals that you have for your lesson. The telephone role play cards seem to be a useful resource that I may use in my future classroom!
