As a new teacher, having a lesson plan will be critical. There are so many reasons and benefits to having a well thought out lesson plan. For example, the lesson plan will provide a guideline to follow each day. This aspect alone provides a sense of relief and confidence that things will stay on track, and I will be an effective teacher. Actually, lesson plans really excite me! I learned that not only do they provide structure and on-going analysis of how both the students and teacher are progressing, but also are fluid. In other words, lesson plans which are continuously updated can enable a teacher to truly ensure that the topic is absorbed and understood. While the lesson plan serves as a guideline, it naturally adjusts to meet the needs of the class, as well as, allows the teacher to self-develop. I can imagine having a binder containing my handy-dandy lesson plans!
