Past Tense was discuss in this unit. Again, very useful base knowledge in teach correct English grammar. The four forms of past tense: past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous were discussed in detail. Past simple involves regular and irregular verbs. Irregular verbs, unlike their regular counterparts cannot take -ed. Past continuous form is used for interrupted past actions, while the past perfect form is used for actions that occurred before other actions in the past. Lastly, the past perfect continuous form is as follows\" subject + had + been + verb-ing.This unit emphasized on teaching vocabulary and grammar. As for the vocabulary, the lesson explained that vocabulary to be taught needs to be selected carefully. Some of the factors that need to be considered when selecting vocabulary are teachability, appropriacy to the students and the task, and frequency and coverage. Once the vocabulary is selected, it is also important to know what the students need to learn about the vocabulary, such as spelling, pronunciation, meaning, or usage. Additionally, the lesson suggested fun and effective activities for each of the stages of the ESA plan.
