This unit provides an overview of the course and topics of study for each of the six units. The unit also provides general terminology and acronyms commonly used in the world of teaching English. I've learned that one does not need to be a specialist in a certain type of business in order to teach business English. Most students want to learn English related to business interaction, such as making arrangements and writing letters. Business English will likely cover language that is more formal than English for basic interaction. There are many opportunities to teach Business English, including one-on-one tutoring, working in a language school, or working directly for a company to teach its employees. Salary and contact hours will vary from setting to setting.
