Comparing and contrasting effective/non-effective teaching provides insight to best practices and allows me to increase my teacher toolbox. Through my teaching career I have learned the most from my peers that have taught longer than me and have better insight to practices that work or don't work. Modeling different lesson plans than what I have used is useful. As the teacher in the second lesson gives a good demonstration of the the straight arrow ESA lesson plan. I also agree that students should not be reprimanded for incorrect answers. Incorrect answers should be noted and correct but not made into a public scene.
