The thing that stuck out to me the most in this unit is when it says to not rush the material. It said it would be best to be behind in the lesson and modify for the next rather than rush through the remainder of the lesson. This is important to remember because what would be the use in rushing through material they did not understand. If a lesson moves too quickly information is missed because they do not have a previous understanding. Sometimes letting the students dictate what they learn is important to the learning process. The teacher lays the ground work for what should be covered, but based on the students understanding of the material will ultimately dictate where the lessons will go from there, which is okay. Students should get the most out of the learning experience and with each class the teacher finds better ways to communicate the information.
