The first part of this unit covers the topic of conditional sentences. The five most commonly used conditionals are explored in terms of structure and usage, accompanied with practical teaching ideas. The second part of this unit is dedicated to the difference between direct and reported speech. It is explained what changes in tense, time and place expressions, pronouns and subjects are necessary for the correct reporting of a direct speech sentence and how to avoid common mistakes students make. I was familiar with the grammar points in this unit, but the material presented was helpful as a reminder and as a guideline for me to use in future when I will need to teach this section of English grammar.
